I
look forward to 2007 - 2008 being a stellar year for the Greater Boston
Young Republicans. I look forward to working with Peter Torkildsen and
the rest of the team at the MassGOP to help with the upoming Special
Election in the 5th Congressional District, as well as helping with the
2008 presidential election.
The Greater Boston Young Republicans (GBYRs) is a group of young, Boston-area professionals aged 18 to 40, who are interested in political activism and networking with like-minded individuals. The Greater Boston Young Republicans hold monthly meetings and socials, volunteer for local community service projects and participate in local and national Republican campaigns. GBYRs are involved as campaign managers, treasurers and the like for local Republican candidates, are officials within the Massachusetts Republican party and are candidates themselves. Many GBYRs go on to become elected officials and leaders within the Republican party. Networking within the GBYRs provides members the opportunity to meet Republican officials and candidates and get experience working on political campaigns.
The GBYRs are a part of the statewide YR organization, the Massachusetts Federation of Young Republicans (MFYR), and the Young Republican National Federation (YRNF). The YRNF is the nation's oldest and largest youth political society.
